Executive Biographies

Art Lynch

President and Chief Executive Officer, Coventry

Art Lynch joined Coventry/First Health in 1993, holding various leadership positions within account management and sales during his 16 year tenure with the company. Prior to First Health, Mr. Lynch led sales and operations for Ebtek, Inc., a firm based in Oak Brook, Illinois, specializing in providing human resources and insurance expertise to small businesses. Before that, he was an Account Executive for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., where he was responsible for new business production, as well as service for existing clients. Mr. Lynch has Bachelors’ degrees in both Political Science and Psychology from Columbia University in New York.

Christopher Atkinson

Chief Financial Officer

Christopher Atkinson has been with Coventry for 13 years. He began his career with KPMG in Nashville, Tennessee in the Tax and Assurance Services departments. After five years, he went to work for PhyCor in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. In 2002, Mr. Atkinson joined Concentra Network Services as Director of Finance, focusing on the Network line of business. Two years after the acquisition of Concentra by Coventry Health Care, Inc. Christopher became the CFO of the Coventry Services Operations where he served for 3.5 years; he was subsequently named CFO of the entire Coventry organization.

Christopher earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and his Master's in Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama. He earned his CPA license in 1993.

Alan Madison

Chief Operating Officer

Alan Madison came to Coventry in April 2009 with 25+ years of senior-level experience in hospital administration, health care IT, and broad client service responsibilities at Tucson Medical Center/Health Partners of Southern Arizona, Intuit, Misys Healthcare, and H&R Block. Alan is a master black belt in Six Sigma and holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an MBA in Health Care Administration.

Mark Farrell

Senior Vice President, Sales and Account Management

Mark Farrell is responsible for overseeing Coventry’s sales and account management efforts. He is accountable for setting the sales and retention strategies that lead to continued growth and profitability of the Workers’ Comp division. Mark’s sales and account management teams are responsible for selling all Coventry products to the workers’ compensation and auto industries through employers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers.

Mark has held a myriad of sales and leadership positions in the healthcare and workers’ compensation industries during the last 25 years. Prior to joining Coventry in February 2011, he was the President of Intracorp. During his tenure at Intracorp, he was responsible for the growth and profitability of the business as well as leading a team of 900 colleagues nationally.

Mark received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He currently resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia with his wife and four children.

Betsy Robinson

Senior Vice President, Product Development & Marketing

Betsy Robinson is responsible for overseeing Coventry’s product development, marketing, and information strategy efforts. She is accountable for setting strategic direction and driving business growth through an integrated clinical solution to the workers’ compensation market, including employers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers.

Betsy began her employment with Intracorp in 1982 and held various positions at the company through 1992, including case manager, account manager, and product manager. She subsequently held various senior-level positions within the industry prior to returning to Intracorp in 2000, where she served as the Vice President for Product, Marketing, and Information Management until she came to Coventry in January 2011.

Betsy received her undergraduate degree in Teaching from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her Master's degree in Counseling from Villanova University.

Kate Farley-Agee

Vice President, Network Products

Kate Farley-Agee oversees our national broad-based provider network and 17 state-certified managed care organizations across the country. She also leads Coventry’s Network Quality Management and Improvement department, Network Paneling and Reporting, and Network Performance groups. Kate has over 20 years’ experience in the health care industry with an emphasis in network development and leadership. She holds a B.A. in Business Economics and a Master’s in Management and Organizational Behavior. In addition, she holds certificates in Managed Care and Health Care Administration.

Barb Sciro

Vice President, Network Operations

Barb Sciro leads the Coventry network contracting efforts. She joined Coventry a year ago through our parent company, Aetna, and has 30 years' experience through one of their acquired companies, Prudential. Barb has served as a claims manager and customer service manager; she built the Prudential Dental Organization (still in existence) and has extensive medical contracting provider relations experience. She has been responsible for contracting with large national providers, hospitals, and physicians, and has broad experience in managing contract teams. Her Coventry team performs direct contracting for our Workers’ Comp and Auto lines of business, and she coordinates contracting when those products are included in Aetna commercial health contracts.

Judy Webb-Fisher

Vice President, Data Analytics

Judy Webb-Fisher joined Coventry in 2008 as Vice President, Decision Support. She is responsible for enterprise-level analytical support for legal, product, finance, sales, and the client. In addition, she led the strategic initiative to develop and deliver a workers’ compensation data warehouse. The warehouse stores and aggregates all service level and transactional data and provides access to state-of-the-art business intelligence tools for internal users.

Prior to joining Coventry, Judy was the Director of Cost Management services for CNA Insurance. She was accountable for the management and oversight of all vendor programs/results for the workers' compensation line of business. In addition, she also worked in the CNA IT division as the Director of New Business Technology, delivering new technology tools to the claim and cost management divisions.

Judy also has extensive property and casualty claim and claim management experience. She has held multiple positions with the prior CIGNA/ESIS Inc. During her tenure at CIGNA/ESIS Inc. she performed duties as a Home Office Superintendent with oversight accountability for property and casualty claims, Regional Field Claim Operations Manager accountable for claim office operations, and Auto/GL claim adjuster.
